Anthropic Claude app tops US Apple chart
Anthropic’s AI model Claude became very popular after a disagreement with the US military. The Claude app reached the top spot on Apple’s free app chart in the US on Saturday, moving past OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This increase happened after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called Anthropic a supply-chain risk for refusing use of its technology for mass surveillance or autonomous weapons. The company saw unprecedented demand and record new users last week.
