Drone warships could boost UK shipbuilding industry

The Royal Navy is swapping large crewed ships for a new hybrid fleet of six command vessels and many uncrewed drones. While the new drones are smaller, their sheer numbers could spread work across more British shipyards than the large warships they replace. This could give a boost to the UK shipbuilding industry, provided the orders are placed with British companies.
