Your Weekly Shop Costs 30% More Than It Did in 2022
The weekly supermarket shop is putting growing pressure on UK households, with food prices expected to rise further. A typical weekly basket now costs £53.51 for women and £60.24 for men, according to the Food Foundation's June 2026 tracker. That's an increase of 30.6% and 38.4% since April 2022. Food inflation remains at 3%, while industry leaders warn supply chain pressures could push prices even higher.
