France's Far Right Surges in Local Elections - Marseille Too Close to Call

Local leadership in many French cities may shift, influencing next year's crucial presidential election outcome. The National Rally and La France Insoumise both achieved strong first-round results during Sunday's vote on 15 March. In Marseille, National Rally candidate Franck Allisio scored about 35.4%, equalling the current mayor, setting up a tight runoff.
