France expels Iranian diplomats and Tehran cries foul
Iran has branded France's expulsion of two of its diplomats illegal, deepening a rupture between Tehran and Paris. France ordered the expulsions after two of its own diplomats were arrested in Iran in July and then barred from returning, which the foreign minister called intimidation. The row leaves European channels to Tehran narrowing just as Washington demands the world cut Iran off.
