The four Artemis astronauts will experience a profound moment of solitude and silence as their radio and laser signals to Earth are blocked. This communication loss will occur when their spacecraft passes behind the Moon, cutting off their constant connection with mission control in Houston, Texas. The crew will be out of touch for about 40 minutes, scheduled for approximately 23:47 BST on Monday.
