Forty children missing from asylum hotels still not found

Forty individuals who vanished as minors from UK asylum hotels are still missing as of June this year. Two of them have yet to reach adulthood, prompting serious concern from the Joint Committee on Human Rights. The Home Office ceased housing unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in January 2024 after a 2023 High Court judgment deemed it illegal.
