Fifa calls Uefa's legal action a 'smear campaign'

Fifa has hit back at Uefa's requests for documents in US courts, calling them part of a 'smear campaign' against its leadership. Uefa submitted four requests in late August to assess whether to pursue a criminal case against Fifa president Gianni Infantino. Fifa argues Uefa lacks authority to start criminal cases in Switzerland and that the requests are economically motivated.
