FIA plans more F1 rule changes for 2027

Drivers and teams could see more engine and energy rule adjustments after concerns over Formula One’s new hybrid era and race behaviour. Reports say Formula 1 and the FIA are discussing changes for 2027, including a possible 60/40 split between combustion and electric power in the engines. FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has also backed a return to V8 engines by 2030 or 2031.
