England rail fares frozen until 2027.
Rail travellers in England will see regulated fares, including season tickets, held at current levels until March 2027. Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, initiated the freeze before the Budget. The government stated this will assist with the cost of living and boost the economy. Some commuters could save over £300 each year. Those using flexi-season tickets from Milton Keynes to London may save £315. The freeze affects 45% of all rail tickets and over one billion journeys, according to reports.
