Trump claims an Apple-Intel deal to make US chips

If true it would be a coup for US chipmaking, but tellingly neither Apple nor Intel has confirmed a word of it. Trump announced it in an overnight post on his Truth Social site on Thursday, giving no timeline, cost, or list of which chips. Intel shares climbed about 10% on the news, while Apple still leans on Taiwan's TSMC to make its chips.
