FCC bans foreign drones; DJI controls 70% market.

The Federal Communications Commission has banned all new foreign-made drones and components from entering the US market, effectively blocking future models from Chinese manufacturers like DJI which controls 70% of the global drone market. The decision follows national security reviews citing risks of surveillance, data theft, and hostile operations. Existing drones remain legal to use and retailers can continue selling previously approved models.
