FBI Executes Coordinated Takedown of NBA-Linked Illegal Gambling Rings
The FBI conducted a major coordinated takedown across 11 states, arresting over 30 people involved in illegal sports betting and rigged poker schemes. Notable names arrested include Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups. Rozier is accused of using insider NBA information for betting, while Billups is charged with rigging underground poker games. The US attorney said it was "one of the most brazen sports corruption schemes since online sports betting became widely legalised in the United States".
