Experts say new US Covid variant causes no alarm.

Experts say public behaviour need not change for the new BA.3.2 Covid variant. This Omicron variant features many new spike mutations and has been found in 29 US states and Puerto Rico by the CDC. No evidence yet shows it causes greater illness severity or higher hospitalisation rates than other recent variants.
