EU's new border system triples UK passport control waits

The EU's new digital Entry Exit System has nearly tripled the time it takes for UK nationals to get through passport control. Rome's main airport reported waits rising from seven to 20 minutes due to the system. Ryanair has advised travellers heading to Europe this summer to expect longer queues and possible hold-ups at 15 airports.
