Europe Won't Police Hormuz Until Fighting Stops
Global energy supplies face severe disruption as tanker passages through the Strait of Hormuz have fallen by 94% since the war began. A UK-led virtual meeting of more than 40 nations on Thursday, including France and Germany, agreed that any military action to reopen the strait would only take place after fighting stops. British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said military planners are already meeting to prepare capabilities including de-mining.
