Khamenei's six-day funeral ends Thursday with Mashhad burial

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, killed in a US-Israeli attack in February, will be buried on Thursday in Mashhad, his hometown. His coffin arrived in Mashhad after a six-day funeral ceremony that included processions through Tehran, Qom, and the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala. The burial will take place at the Imam Reza shrine, a major Shia holy site, where officials expect about 15 million people to attend.
