EU wants to cut electricity bills with tax changes

Your electricity bills could get cheaper soon, as the EU is planning tax changes to reduce what people pay. The European Commission's draft plan would tax electricity less than natural gas to make switching to electric options easier. Network charges, fees for running grids, account for about a quarter of an average EU household's power bill.
