Italian flights cancelled after air traffic capacity falls by half

Italy's air navigation agency, Enav, reported its capacity was running at around half of normal due to data network faults. The faults, found Thursday night, led Enav to cut flights from 6am on Friday, impacting Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, and Turin. Enav ruled out a cyber attack, and capacity later recovered to 75% after switching to a backup satellite network.
