EU Approves Long-Delayed Sanctions on Israeli West Bank Settlers

EU foreign ministers agreed on Monday to impose sanctions on seven Israeli settlers or settler organisations over violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The long-delayed measures, which include asset freezes and travel bans, were unblocked after Hungary's new government under Prime Minister Peter Magyar lifted the country's longstanding veto. Hamas members were also targeted in the same package.
