Estonia Pushes Its Main Fighting Brigade Up to Russia's Doorstep

Estonia is moving its 1st Brigade, the core of its combat-ready land forces, from Tapa to Jõhvi, less than 50 kilometres from the Russian border, near Narva. Commander Tarmo Kundla told the Financial Times the army must start from the border and win the first battles. The shift backs an active defence posture, including rapid strikes deeper into Russian territory if an invasion ever came.
