Engineers to age whisky in space from 2028 to create new flavours

Scottish and Japanese engineers are sending whisky samples to orbit on a five-year mission to see if it matures faster. The samples will be on a small satellite, called a CubeSat, launching via a SpaceX mission to the International Space Station. Scientists hope the rapid temperature changes in space will create “very bold” flavours and reveal new insights into chemistry.
