Britain getting £2bn for new AI supercomputers
Britain's getting a massive £2bn investment for new AI supercomputers, which could speed up research into clean energy. US chip maker AMD said on Monday it'll spend the money over the next five years, helping to build UK AI infrastructure. Part of this includes a supercomputer named Sunrise for nuclear fusion research, which is designed to be the world's most powerful AI supercomputer dedicated to fusion energy.
