US forces seize Iran ship, Tehran calls it piracy
The seizure of an Iranian-flagged ship has prompted Iran to reject new peace talks and vow a swift response. On Sunday, American forces apprehended a cargo vessel within the maritime area of the Gulf of Oman, and President Donald Trump subsequently declared that they had assumed complete control. Iran's military labelled the action "armed piracy" and a ceasefire violation, which also caused global oil prices to surge.
