East Midlands Railway blames train issues for reduced services until 2027

East Midlands Railway has detailed issues with its new Aurora trains, made by Hitachi Rail, which prompted it to cut services. The Class 810s and older Class 222s have problems with toilets, air conditioning, and catering equipment. Services to London St Pancras have been cancelled, with changes possibly lasting through 2027 while EMR works with the manufacturer.
