NMC panel expels nurse over Covid cancer lie

A Dorset nurse has lost her job after telling a cancer patient their Covid vaccination caused their illness, causing psychological harm. Penny Ann Senner, working for Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, made the comments in August 2023 during a routine appointment. The Nursing and Midwifery Council panel found four out of six charges proven, including giving an anti-vaccination leaflet.
