Cartel attacks 20 states after leader El Mencho dies
Members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel began riots across 20 Mexican regions following the death of their boss, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. The leader, known as "El Mencho", died in military custody on Sunday after a gun battle that also killed six of his bodyguards. Criminals set fire to banks, blocked roads with burning vehicles, and forced residents in areas like Puerto Vallarta to stay inside for safety.
