Drivers face £1,000 fine for missed training

Professional lorry, bus, and coach drivers risk a substantial penalty if their training isn't up to date. They must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years to keep their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence. Driving professionally without finishing this training by the deadline can lead to a fine of up to £1,000.
