A driver who fractured a cyclist's skull in a road rage attack in Edinburgh has now avoided being jailed. Joseph Hedley, 39, from Kirkcaldy, threw Iain Brown to the ground in the Cowgate in September 2024, leaving him with a brain bleed and permanent impairment. At Edinburgh Sheriff Court he was given a two-year supervision order, an electronic tag and a 12-month night-time home curfew.
