Michael Connors, 28, was travelling at 71mph in a 20mph zone in Wrexham in March 2025 when he crashed into Lydia La Polla's car. He fled to Ireland after the crash, which also seriously injured her husband and a 16-year-old girl. Connors was extradited and admitted causing death by dangerous driving, receiving an eight-year driving ban.
