Scottish teachers cancel strikes after reaching new deal.

The agreement means pupils avoid exam disruption and teachers' workload reduces. It will also help create new teaching jobs. Scotland's largest teaching union, EIS, cancelled planned strikes on Friday after reaching a deal with COSLA and the Scottish Government. Primary school teachers will benefit from August 2027, with secondary school teachers two years later.
