Dollar holds near highs before Trump deadline
Global markets remain tense as investors move toward safer assets during conflict uncertainty. The US dollar stayed close to recent peaks on Tuesday as traders waited for a deadline set by Donald Trump for Iran to reopen a key shipping route. The yen weakened to about 159.67 per dollar, while oil prices surged as fighting and supply risks continued.
