Diplomatic rupture deepens as Saudi Arabia orders Iranian defence staff to leave

Saudi Arabia has expelled five members of Iran’s embassy, including its military attaché, giving them a 24-hour deadline to exit. The decision follows accusations that Tehran’s recent missile and drone activity is fuelling regional instability. At the same time, Saudi defences reported intercepting aerial threats near Riyadh and key eastern oil areas, underscoring heightened security concerns.
