Badenoch Calls for Welfare Cuts to Fund Defence Ahead of Budget

Kemi Badenoch has warned that John Healey's budget could do more damage than both of Rachel Reeves's if the chancellor does not cut spending. In a London speech, the Conservative leader called for welfare cuts to fund raising defence spending to 3% of GDP. She said delaying that decision until next autumn would be unconscionable, and mocked Andy Burnham's crackdown on loud music on trains.
