Canva, the Australian design platform used by millions, is cutting or changing 1,271 roles, about 22% of its workforce, in a major restructure. Chief executive Melanie Perkins said the company had endured its hardest year yet, with growth slowing for the first time in a decade. Reports link the pressure to rapid advances in artificial intelligence tools that can now quickly create designs for users.
