Almeraq wins Royal Ascot Jubilee Stakes thriller
The 25-1 outsider Almeraq snatched a dramatic photo finish win at Royal Ascot, completing a remarkable comeback story. Jockey Tom Marquand rode the four-year-old colt to victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, beating Satono Reve and favourite Joliestar. The win marked a return from a serious fall last September and was trainer William Haggas's fourth success of the meeting.
