Energy debt hits a third of UK adults

Millions of people are already struggling with energy bills, with the median debt owed to suppliers reaching £750. A poll for the End Fuel Poverty Coalition found this ahead of a 13 per cent price cap jump from July. Many have skipped meals or missed rent, and some owe money to people who make them feel scared.
