FTSE 100 Nears Sixth Straight Quarterly Rise
Stronger share prices could lift confidence among investors as UK markets headed towards another positive quarter. Britain's FTSE 100 climbed 0.5% on Tuesday, helped by industrial mining and financial stocks, while hopes of a Middle East ceasefire improved market mood. By 0904 GMT, the FTSE 250 had added 0.1%, and the blue-chip index had risen in 11 of the past 12 months.
