Bournemouth beach buried in rubbish after crowds
Following a period of unprecedented crowds, beach maintenance crews deployed tractors to clear vast quantities of waste. Bournemouth beach was packed with tens of thousands during a bank holiday heatwave, as UK temperatures soared past 30C. More than 20 tents were pitched illegally on the sand despite local laws banning overnight camping.
