NI parents get baby loss certificates
This new scheme offers formal recognition for parents who lose a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy, a loss previously unacknowledged. The Department of Finance, responsible for civil registration, launched the certificates on Monday, available via the NI Direct website. Finance Minister John O'Dowd called it a "significant and impactful achievement" for the current government.
