UK household spending power hit by price rises
Disposable incomes for individuals fell by 0.8% during the year's initial quarter, primarily because of increasing prices and additional wealth taxes. This marks the fourth time in five quarters that household spending power has fallen, according to the Office for National Statistics. However, the household saving ratio, what people save instead of spend, only edged down slightly to 8.9%.
