Graphic: BriefTea

CVS Health, valued at $117bn, will separate its 9,000 pharmacies from its Aetna insurance business. The pharmacy arm will become CVS Pharmacy, while the other company retains the CVS Health name with Aetna and Caremark. Chief executive David Joyner will run that second business, with the breakup planned for early 2028.
