Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has bought a London flat and donated it to Writers' Block, a theatre scheme for early-career playwrights from underprivileged backgrounds who cannot afford the capital's rents. Residents will pay only bills. Screenwriter Jack Thorne is also funding the pilot, with backing from James Graham, Sally Wainwright, Peter Morgan and Martin McDonagh. Thorne says a lack of housing stops many people writing.
