NHS finds 10,678 lung cancers in local areas
Patients diagnosed with lung cancer early are 13 times more likely to survive for five years. NHS scanning trucks, located in car parks and high streets across England, have detected 10,678 cases. The Lung Cancer Screening Programme, started in 2019, found over three quarters of these at early stages one and two.
