Ocado stock falls after Kroger warehouse closures
Kroger, Ocado's US partner, will shut down three automated warehouses in January. The sites are located in Maryland, Florida and Wisconsin. Ocado's stock value dropped by 17% following the announcement. Despite a $250 million payment, filings show Ocado anticipates a $50 million reduction in revenue for 2026. Only eight of the planned twenty US facilities are now operating. Analysts are reportedly raising concerns about automated grocery fulfilment.
