Cigarette maker Imperial Brands is cutting thousands of jobs to lower costs

The Winston manufacturer is reorganising its workforce because traditional smoking is in permanent decline and industry regulations are mounting. First to go are supply chain and human resources staff in the Americas, with legal and marketing teams facing cuts from April. The British tobacco firm employed about 25,800 people worldwide late last year, and saw its share price fall over 5% on Monday.
