China targets Japanese entities with export controls over military links

China has tightened trade measures against 40 Japanese entities, among them Mitsubishi and Japan’s space authority. The Commerce Ministry introduced export curbs on roughly half of the organisations, while placing others — including Subaru— under monitoring for goods with potential civilian and military applications. Authorities said the action is intended to address security risks, accusing Tokyo of advancing rearmament amid heightened diplomatic strains linked to Taiwan.
