China Asks Tech Firms to Pause Nvidia H200 Chip Orders
China has reportedly asked some of its tech companies to halt orders for Nvidia's H200 GPUs. This pause comes as Beijing considers regulations on chip import conditions and decides whether to grant access. The H200 chips are not currently shipping to China. The government is expected to mandate domestic alternatives, pending a final decision.
