On Monday, England midfielder Morgan Rogers transferred to Chelsea from Aston Villa for a British record fee of £117m. Following a medical examination in London, he agreed to a six-year deal, which includes the possibility of an additional year. Rogers' signing comes as new manager Xabi Alonso prepares his squad for the pre-season tour, with him expected to play on the left wing.
