Chefs back Andy Burnham to cut hospitality VAT
Hospitality businesses could see their VAT tax halved, which top chefs say would help struggling places and boost the industry. They're hoping Andy Burnham becomes prime minister because he's called for the rate to drop from 20% to 10%. Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, whose pubs have three Michelin stars, is a key supporter of Burnham's plan.
